What Happens Next?

  • VEC Processing: The Central Alabama VEC will process your application and submit it to the FCC.
  • FCC Processing: The FCC typically processes applications Monday through Friday
  • License Update: Once approved, your license changes will appear in the FCC ULS database.

If you are renewing your license, you MUST pay the $35 FCC fee.
You have two options:

Option 1: Pay FCC Directly ($35)

  • The FCC will email you a payment request in 1-3 business days
  • Check your email (including spam/junk folder)
  • Click the link to pay $35 at apps.fcc.gov/cores
  • You must pay within 10 days of receiving the email

Option 2: Let CAVEC Pay for You
